Josh Jones, CEO, Alabama Capital Network
Joshua Jones is the new CEO of Alabama Capital Network. At ACN, he helps connect innovators with investors to grow the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Prior to his role at ACN, Jones was founder and CEO of StrategyWise, an award-winning data science and AI consulting firm. A lifelong entrepreneur, Jones’s career experience has spanned 6 startups, 40 countries and 7 languages. Josh also serves on the Alabama Artificial Intelligence Commission and the Boards of Directors of The Birmingham Zoo, The Birmingham Venture Club, and Kulture City. He received his Master of Business Administration at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He and his wife, Akiko, live with their 3 girls in Homewood.
Liz Read, Founder, ClearMIND
Liz Read is the CEO and Founder of ClearMIND, a digital solution for families navigating drug use disorders. With a background in sales, design and finance, she’s pushing boundaries on how families deal with addiction and find healing. Liz is also the co-founder and lead jewelry designer of Charlotte Allison fine jewelry. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors in Finance and is the mother of three active children.
Matt Cowell, CEO, QuantHub
Matt serves as CEO at QuantHub, responsible for leading the company’s strategy, growth, and operations. Prior to joining QuantHub, Matt spent the last 15 years running product and tech at PE-backed companies, including building a product and engineering organization at Daxko to deliver 10x revenue growth, 7 acquisitions, and 3 enormously successful recapitalizations in just 10 years. While at Daxko, Matt led the team to deliver the first machine learning/AI solution to the market, predicting customer membership churn and also propensity to donate.
Drew Honeycutt, CEO, Innovation Depot
Drew Honeycutt is a serial entrepreneur who has started, operated and sold multiple businesses in fields ranging from software to real estate to construction and facilities management. His most recent company, the marketing app Funnelfly, was launched through Innovation Depot. He left Funnelfly in May of 2020 when he was named CEO of Innovation Depot. A Birmingham native, Drew received his masters and bachelors from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the Birmingham Rotary Club and serves on the boards of BIO Alabama, Tech Birmingham, and the Birmingham Business Alliance
