The YLB program consists of two overnight retreats and four monthly program days. The six sessions of the main program allow the participants to explore varying aspects of the Birmingham community. Each session begins at a location in the general downtown area and includes visits to several other sites related to that day’s topic. Participants work with a number of adult leaders each day discussing a variety of issues that affect their community and gaining insight into the complex decision-making that is essential in addressing the issues.
